Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school. I am proud of everything that I am and will become. I think these things only a parent can teach you. Some of the best lessons we ever learn are learned from past mistakes. Learning to love my inner and outer beauty wasn't an easy road. “I've learned a lot this year.. You learned the two greatest thing in life, never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut.

It's what I perceive as country music is about. I have learned that only two things are necessary to keep one's wife happy. I hope I don't reach my pinnacle on this earth where I think I know it all. I do some of my stunts for the things I have learned. I love my freedom of speech and the way my eyes get dark when I'm tired.

So think of your priorities not in terms of what activities you do, but when you do them. I have learned to use the word 'impossible' with the greatest caution. Timing is everything.

God makes each of us unique in ways that go much deeper. • Jim Lehrer Still, in all my past distresses, one thought has consoled me - I have learned to appreciate a parent's love. I like to listen. No matter how good you may be, you've got to be willing to cut out of your life … Life is a Monet painting. I can't bring it with me to work, so in that way, the work feels quite liberating. I love that I have learned to trust people with my heart, even if it will get broken. I have learned to take the part of me that is very fearful and work on that. I'm running because I have been blessed with a gift. Happiness is fleeting - I think that's the main lesson I have learned. By taking the time to stop and appreciate who you are and what you've achieved - and perhaps learned through a few mistakes, stumbles and losses - you actually can enhance everything about you. In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. The greatest lesson I learned that year in Mrs. Henry's class was the lesson Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., tried to teach us all: Never judge people by the color of their skin. I have had a lot of setbacks that I have learned from. It's God's plan. I am proud of everything that I am and will become.

And I've learned that there are things that go wrong that don't always get fixed or get put back together the way they were before. I've learned enough times in life that saying something is completely different than acting upon it. I learned that very often the most intolerant and narrow-minded people are the ones who congratulate themselves on their tolerance and open-mindedness. I have learned that, although I am a good teacher, I am a much better student, and I was blessed to learn valuable lessons from my students on a daily basis. The most important lesson that I have learned is to trust God in every circumstance. Whatever I have learned or experienced is through cricket I've played on the field, and whatever little I have watched. I love my freedom of speech and the way my eyes get dark when I'm tired. I have learned that a bitter experience can make you stronger. There is space for that in my life. I'm still open and vulnerable enough to know there's much more to be taught to me and learned by me. If I learned anything from the Army, it was about being able to get things done, no matter how tough the assignment, and it served me later in life. For I have learned to look on nature, not as in the hour of thoughtless youth, but hearing oftentimes the still, sad music of humanity. One of the most important things that I have learned in my 57 years is that life is all about choices. I have learned how to plant coastal hay, fertilize and bale it. I love my freedom of speech and the way my eyes get dark when I'm tired. I learned from my father that you may have to risk your own life to make such a historic accomplishment.

That was a hard lesson for me because I naturally want to understand everything... to know what's going on so I can feel like I'm in control. I love that I have learned to trust people with my heart, even if it will get broken.

I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to those teachers. And second, let her have it. The error of the past is the wisdom and success of the future.

But they were given to me as a seed, and it's up to me to choose to develop them. I have learned that it is far easier to write a speech about good advertising than it is to write a good ad. Not everything, but I love the good as well as the bad. My journey through life has led me through both light and dark places, and it's because of those experiences that I have learned how to work through my character defects and to help others do the same. I have learned to keep to myself how exceptional I am. I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.
